    Finally finished the Armor!

    Sunday, September 9, 2007, 01:00 AM [General]

    Dear Gang,

I've finally finished!  The studded lamellar armor that I wish to sell is now complete.  The arrangement of straps and sizes of the side closure plates allow a range of body sizes to wear the armor.  So far, I had a 5 foot, 8 inch tall and 170 lb. friend try it on, then a 6 foot, 5 inch tall and 270+ lb friend try it on and it looks nice.  The only thing that would be an issue is the main belt for the waist.  It looks like it maxes out at about 44 to 46 inch waist.

The pictures I have now posted on my site, http://alvinja.renspace.com, are of a third person, who is 6 foot 6 inches tall and weighs about 180 lbs.  With some padding, it looks like it would hang properly on him.  The gallery's name should be "Studded Leather Lamellar Armor".

Well, thanks for letting me post this product.  I hope that this will lead to a buyer for this armor.

    Sincerely,

    Alvin

    Welcome All!

This is my spot in RenSpace. I am Alvin and I am slowly turning a hobby into a possible source of income by way of leather crafting and armoring.

I am currently creating a dark brown/coffee colored studded leather lamellar suit that will have spare lamellar scales and lacing. I plan to sell all that as a package deal so that the armor can be customized and repairable as well.

If you don't see some of the armor's pictures here, then please visit the marketplace section of RenSpace:

    marketplace.renspace.com/

Thanks, and please support the Ren Faire vendors when possible and viable. Otherwise, we'll be using cardboard swords and plastic bag tunics because no one is buying the "real deal"...

    Sincerely,
    Alvin
